Well, Bryan is currently in Iowa for work. I dropped him off at the GR airport Monday and I go back to pick him up Friday night. It’s his first time meeting a few of his co-workers and when he called this morning he said everything was going really well and he was enjoying his time there.

I am still trying to figure out what in the world I’m suppose to be doing and I as continue to get opportunities to teach/preach I am not really in big hurry to find a regular job again 🙂

As for an incredible book that Bryan and I just read and then I taught on at my parent’s Friday night Bible study –

The Cross & the Prodigal: Luke 15 Through the Eyes of Middle Eastern Peasants

The Cross & the Prodigal: Luke 15 Through the Eyes of Middle Eastern Peasants by Kenneth E. Bailey. It is an amazing book and I would HIGHLY recommend it. It’s a very easy read – short, and gives such an incredible new look into this ‘well known’ parable. It blew me away, I actually cried a little when I read it and began to understand more fully what Jesus was teaching through this parable.

I have not read any of his other books yet so this is the only one I can speak on. BUT, if you are at all interested in learning better about the culture in which Jesus lived and taught and better understand what He meant by what He said – this is definitely a good book.

Another helpful person to listen to is Dwight Pryor – http://www.jcstudies.com/ – again, amazing man, excellent teacher with incredible insights into Scripture. His stuff on Paul and Romans- WOW. Bryan and I have listened to numerous CDs from his ministry and each time I am blown away.
