“… but a shout of joy comes in the morning.” Ps 30:5
We welcomed our baby girl–Rina (pronounced like a long ‘E’ similiar to Tina or Gina) Marie VanHaitsma today Oct 30 at 3:22pm. Though Hebrew has several words with a “joy” nuance we really latched onto rina which means shout/exclamation of joy. And believe me both mother and daughter had exclamations following the final push!
She was born at 6 lbs 13 oz and 20.5 in long. Erika started with Pitocin at 6:00am and then had her water broken at 8:45am. From there it was all dealing with the contractions until she was allowed to start pushing (around 2:15pm).
Everyone is healthy and happy. The pictures above were the best ones of Rina’s face and the grandpas just happened to be in the pics. More pics will be coming soon. Also check the ‘baby site’ link in our side bar for more pics.
Shalom
YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!
OMG she is PERFECT. Congratulations. So so so happy for you. YAY!
Bryan & Erika-
Congrats you guys on a beautiful baby girl, she is so precious! Glad that everything went well for you and she is finally here, now the fun begins!! 🙂
We'd love to visit and meet her when you guys are ready. Just let us know!
Take care, and my only words of advice: take all those offers of help, don't think you can do it on your own! Especially so you can get some zzzz's! 🙂
Much love,
Pete, Julie, & Grayson
Congratulations!! She’s beautiful!
