(I wrote this awhile back when I was really struggling with mommy-hood)

If you are a success as a mom bc your house is always clean, then I am a failure
If you are a success as a mom bc your dinner is always perfectly times, delicious and nutritious, then I am a failure
If you are a success as a mom bc your children are always well groomed and their clothing is never mismatched, then I am a failure (except now Rina picks out her own clothes so I take no credit for that)
If you are a success as a mom bc you never loose your temper or get incredibly frustrated at your little “blessings”, then I am a failure
If you are a success as a mom bc your children are perfectly behaved, then I am a failure
If you are a success as a mom bc you always know exactly what to do at all times, then I am a failure

BUT, if being a successful mom really means that you go to bed each night knowing you at least apologized when you blew it and that tomorrow you’re going to get up and try again – that I can do and that I can be.

The older my children get the more I am realizing that I have no clue what I’m doing when it comes to parenting. And I am so thankful for a God who not only has a clue but He knows, He understands, and He’s faithful!
