Behold our God.

He is the magnificent One, the matchless One, the giver of grace, Creator, Sustainer. He upholds all things by the word of His power. He flung the stars into the Universe; He spoke light into being. He breathed the breathe of life into man. He scooped out the oceans with His hands. He is surrounded by fire and lightening. By His very word the Universe was created. He is above all earthly kings and kingdoms.

Behold our King.

He was the baby in the manger, infinite and yet finite, eternal and yet mortal. God and man. In Him the fullness of the Godhead dwelt bodily. He was wounded for our transgressions, bruised for our iniquities. By His stripes we are healed. He is the firstborn of all that are to come, the first-fruits of our salvation. He is the promise of our future and the assurance of what will be.

Behold our King.

He topples kingdoms. He creates nations. He floods the earth, and He brings life. He is the rebuilder of broken walls and lives. He is the Redeemer, Savior, Friend. Who taught Him knowledge? Who gave Him understanding? Who shows Him the right path and teaches Him truth? He is truth. He is the morning song and wisdom’s cry. He is the Prince of peace and the stranger in the fire. He is forever faithful.

Behold our God.

He was before the beginning and in Him everything was made. The Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. He is God to the vanishing point. The God who sees. The God who is. The God who saves. The God who knows.

There has never been another and there never will be one like Him. He has always been and always will be.

Behold your God, oh Church!
