“Life is hard. The world is cold. You’re barely young and then you’re old. But every fallen tear is always understood because, life is hard. But God is good.”

My parents use to listen to that song when I was younger and it popped back into my head a few weeks ago. Bryan and I were talking about all the people we know of who are in great need of prayer, for any reason. And as we began ticking off names I was amazed at how long the list was. There are a lot of people who need prayer, encouragement and support!

And it hurt knowing so many people I loved and cared about were struggling. It’s easy to begin wondering “where are You God? Do You even see what’s going on down here? Do You hear us? Do You even care?” And as I was wrestling with some of these questions this song popped into my head.

So I looked it up.

I’d like to share verse two with you.

You start to cry, cause you’ve been strong for so long and that’s not how you feel.
You try to pray but there’s nothing left to say so you just quietly kneel.

In the silence of all that you face God will give you His mercy and grace.

Jesus never said it was an easy road to travel. He only said that you would never be alone. So when your last thread of hope begins to come unraveled, don’t give up. He walks beside you on this journey home and He knows.
Life is hard, the world is cold. You’re barely young and then we’re old.
But every fallen tear is always understood. Yes, life is hard, but God is good.

Be encouraged this season, Believer. There’s a lot going on. There are many struggles but you are not alone. The Creator of the Universe is in Covenant with you and He has promised to never leave you nor forsake you. Truly to the end of the age your God is with you. Be at peace and rest in Him.
