At first read, Daniel 5 seems straightforward – a partying king, a handwritten message on the wall, and a kingdom falls. But there is a lot more going on behind the scenes as well as encouraging lessons we can all learn.
Bryan VanHaitsma is back in the studio bringing more color to this story than you realized was possible. It will one episode worth listening to and sharing with others.
Bryan is the digital media director for Revive Our Hearts. He studied at Hope College in Michigan and Jerusalem University College in Israel. He has a passion for digging into Scriptures that we often find perplexing, helping us understand why that story might be included, and what we are supposed to do in light of that story.

On the podcast, you said that you would add some pictures of ancient Babylon on the website. How do I find the resources you mention in the podcasts?
Hey Melanie, good question 🙂
One thing we did not take into account when we recorded that podcast was having a new website. We are still in the process of adding things to it. http://www.thecontextandcolorofthebible.com When the pictures get put up, this is where they will be. We are hoping to have more things added within the next week or so, including pictures of ancient Babylon to go with the podcast. I apologize for the confusion.
While you are waiting here is a website that can give you an idea 🙂 https://stock.adobe.com/search?k=ancient%20babylon
Thanks,
